1:48 JGSDF Type 16 MCV, model kit, 8x8 vehicle

This 1:48 scale assembly kit recreates the JGSDF Type 16 Maneuver Combat Vehicle as a compact modern armored subject with a long L/52 105 mm rifled gun, an 8-wheel layout and a sharply faceted turret and hull. At 176 mm long and 63 mm wide, the finished model brings the Type 16's low, purposeful profile onto the bench in a size that still leaves room for crisp exterior detail. Research based on the actual vehicle shapes the overall form, including the perforated muzzle brake, periscope areas and the layered look of the turret and hull armor. The gun is depicted with movement, which gives the finished build a more lifelike pose for shelf presentation. Decals are included to recreate periscope openings and muzzle brake perforations, adding fine visual definition that would be difficult to reproduce by hand. One commander figure is supplied for the open hatch, and 2 marking options allow different finishing choices. The Type 16 entered JGSDF units beginning in 2017 as a highly mobile fire support vehicle, and that modern service background gives the model a distinct contemporary presence beside tracked armor subjects. Cement and paints are required separately. On a display base, in a modern military lineup or as part of a 1:48 vehicle collection, the 8x8 configuration and long gun create a clear silhouette that stands apart from conventional tank builds.
