Article number: 300032583 Product: 1:48 WWII PzKpfw. 38(t) Ausf. E/F This is a model of the German light tank 38(t) in 1/48 scale. The 38(t) was designed and entered production for the Czechoslovak Army as the LT vz. 38, however before any could be delivered Germany occupied then divided the country. They rated the tank highly, ordering continued production of the initial lot of 150, renaming it the 38(t) with (t) denoting its Czech origin. It went on to serve as the front-line tank for the Wehrmacht in early WWII, from the initial operations in Poland up to and including Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941. It wielded a 37mm gun with 90 rounds on board, a coaxial 7.92mm MG37(t) machine gun, and another MG37 on the front left of the vehicle. 42km/h was squeezed out of the 6-cylinder engine. Ausf.E/F 38(t) variants featured doubled front armor thickness at 50mm, with 30mm on the hull and turret sides. 525 were produced in the period from November 1940 to October 1941.   Warning! Article number: 300032591 Product: 1:48 Ger. Sturmtiger 38cm The Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniatures Sturmtiger is a classic kit that has been around for decades. The 1/48 scale version has received all new tooling and further extends the long line-up of kits offered in this smaller scale! The Sturmtiger was a seldom-seen variant of the Tiger I, using existing chassis and suspension to mount a mammoth 38cm caliber mortar for use against buildings and other fortifications in urban warfare. Only an estimated 18 were ever produced, between August and December 1944, and they were somewhat unwieldy in that they weighed around 65 tons. Nonetheless, they would still have proved a frightening foe to those who encountered them in the Battle of the Bulge, the Warsaw Uprising and the invasion of the German homeland.   Warning! 300032589

€33.49

Article number: 300032589 Product: 1:48 Tank destroyer Elefant This is a 1/48 scale assembly model of the German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elephant. The newly tooled 1/48 Elefant has extensive detail, even at this smaller scale, thanks to the extensive research conducted by Tamiya's designers to make the 1/35 scale rendition. The development of the full-size Elefant is an interesting case study in weapons development. Its chassis was developed by Porsche in the design competition for the Tiger I, but while Porsche was sure enough of its success to ready 100 examples of the chassis before the end of the competition, the design was not chosen. The "left over" chassis were turned into the Elefant on the orders of Hitler in 1942 - some 90 examples were built by May 1943. With armor plates, up to 200mm thick and a powerful long-caliber 8.8cm gun, it was a formidable piece of equipment, and served German troops until the end of WWII.

This very popular vehicle was not only employed by the Wehrmacht but also by the Luftwaffe. This vehicle is perfect for people who want to create realistic dioramas. Set includes 2 figures. Front doors come as separate parts and can be attached in opened or closed position. About the German Kubelwagen Type 82 In February 1936, Dr. Ferdinand Porsche presented his first prototype of the "People's Car", which was to be the base of the Volkswagen "Beetle". However, with the outbreak of WWII, all manufacture of the Volkswagen was immediately turned to military production. In January 1938, German Defense Forces presented specifications for a military version of this practical vehicle. In November of that same year, a prototype was completed and it was officially designated Pkw. K1 "Kubelwagen" Type 82. The vehicle used a light but sturdy monocoque construction with foldable canvas top. With its reliable engine and heavy duty suspension, the Kubelwagen immediately came to be used by every unit, from the scorching desert of Africa to the frozen Russian Eastern Front. About 51,000 Kubelwagens, including several variations, were rolled out from the factory by the end of WWII. Model kit, Scale 1:48, Vehicle, 2 Figures, Manual, Decal, Length 79 mm.   Warning! Article number: 300032519 Product: 1:48 US M10 Mid Production Between 1941 and 1942 the M3 self-propelled gun was the backbone of the US anti-tank division. Consisting of the M3 half-track with mounted 36 caliber 75 mm anti-tank gun, it proved ineffective in fighting German armour, calling for a more manoeuvrable tank destroyer with increased firepower. In November 1941 a prototype T35 tank destroyer was manufactured. Officially adopted in June 1942 under the designation M10, it was the US Army's first full-track tank destroyer. The M10 had the lower chassis from the M4A2 Sherman, but was fitted with a lower, redesigned upper section. Designed for maximum manoeuvrability, the M10's armour was relatively thin. To compensate for this weakness, an angled chassis was chosen to increase bullet deflection. A 50 caliber M7 3-inch (76.2 mm) cannon was mounted in the rotating, open-topped turret. Firing M62 capped armour-piercing shells (APC), the M7 3 gun could penetrate 88 mm armour at a range of 1000 m with an impact angle of up to 30 degrees. The M10 featured a GMC 6064 (or 6064D) 2-stroke water-cooled diesel engine that produced 375hp for a top speed of 48 km/h. The M10 was fitted with a counterweight at the rear of the turret, with early designs carrying box weights and later triangular weights. Serial production ran from September 1942 to December 1943 for a total of 6706 vehicles, including those with M10A1 petrol engines. Model kit, Scale 1:48, Vehicle, Manual, Decal, Length 143 mm.

The Panzer IV was one of the most feared weapons in WWII, and would serve German forces throughout the conflict in the guise of a number of variants. The Ausf.H variant itself featured early, middle and late production types, all of which were armed with a L/48 75mm gun and featured "Schürzen" armor side skirts for greater protection. Late production Panzer IVs were identifiable by their tracks: they lacked a center guide. Upper road wheels had their rubber tires removed and were made into steel wheels, while the tank received cast metal idler wheels. 3,774 Ausf.H Panzer IVs were produced between April 1943 and July 1944, and it was eventually succeeded by the Ausf.J. The Tamiya model in 1/48 scale captures every detail and nuance of the real life subject thanks to extensive research of the full size vehicle.   Warning! Not suitable for children under 14 years.

Article number: 300032570 Product: 1:48 Ger.Tank II Ausf.A/B/C F.C. In the mid 1930s, the German military pushed the production of tanks. The Panzer I designed as a training tank, did not have the adequate performance, so a light tank was needed to full the gap until the Panzer III could be introduced. Therefore, the German Ordnance Department issued a request for a new training tank that could be used for combat. In the end, MAN was chosen in 1934 to produce the Panzer II, a compact 4.8m long, 2.2m wide design with a three man crew. The 8.9 ton tank featured a 2cm Kwk 30 L/55 cannon and 7.92mm machine gun in the turret, 15mm armor protection for turret and hull front, leaf spring suspension, and a 140hp Maybach HL 62 TRM engine matched with a ZF SSG46 transmission, which gave it a 40km/h top speed. The Ausf. A was produced from 1937, followed by the Ausf. B and C, which were difficult to distinguish from each other visually. About 1,100 Panzer tanks were produced by April 1940, and due to delays with the Panzer III, they were immediately issued as the Panzer divisions' main tank for the invasion of Poland in September 1939. Based on lessons learned on the battlefields of Poland and, in May 1940, France, improvements such as extra armor and a turret cupola were added, and the Panzer II went on to serve in North Africa and Russia in front line and liaison and reconnaissance duties until the end of 1943. Afterwards, they were used to police occupied territories and the chassis was also adapted for use as the basis for various self-propelled gun designs.   Warning!
