1:12 Ducati 916 Desmo. 1993, motorcycle model kit

This 1:12 motorcycle model kit captures the Ducati 916 Desmo. 1993 with the sharp bodywork, low front cowl and race-bred stance that made the original machine stand out at the 1993 Milan Motor Show. The finished replica brings together the distinctive fairing shape, dual headlamp layout and the sculpted tank and seat section in a display scale that gives each line room to read clearly. At the center of the build is a detailed 916cc liquid cooled L-twin engine with Ducati's Desmodromic valve system, a layout that uses cam operation for both opening and closing the valves. The chassis reflects the original machine's engineering with a chrome molybdenum steel tubular frame, a mono-arm rear swing arm and a front fork assembly that builds up from separate components. Showa shock absorbers and Brembo brake calipers are part of the source machine specification represented by the model, alongside the aerodynamic cowl with engine air intake openings. Assembly time is stated as 600 minutes. Paints, cement and tools are required separately. During the build, the model moves through clearly defined subassemblies such as engine, exhaust, front fork, rear wheel, cowling and mirrors, giving each stage its own visual character on the workbench. Decals and detail painting add the final layer to the Ducati markings, while the completed motorcycle on its stand suits shelf display alongside other 1:12 scale road and racing machines.
