1:12 Yamaha XV1600 Road Star 1999, motorcycle kit

This 1:12 Yamaha XV1600 Road Star 1999 motorcycle kit recreates the long, low proportions of Yamaha's large-capacity cruiser in a format that brings mechanical detail to the workbench and a strong road-bike silhouette to the display shelf. At 208 mm long, 89 mm wide and 100 mm high when completed, the model has enough presence to show off the stretched chassis layout, broad fenders and the visual weight of the V-twin engine. The full-size machine combined traditional cruiser styling with a 1,600 cc air-cooled V-twin pushrod engine, telescopic front forks and a swinging arm monocross rear suspension, and those defining elements shape the character of this replica. Tamiya uses real screws in the assembly, a fitting choice for a motorcycle subject with exposed mechanical structure. Two kinds of metal plated parts support the chrome-rich finish, while the delicate cooling fins, spoke wheels and fine brake and clutch lines add sharper scale definition. The kit also contains 2 tank emblem versions, covering Road Star and the European Wild Star name, along with decals for stripes and meter details. Assembly kit contents are included. Paints, cement and tools are required separately. On the bench, the mix of plated surfaces, decals and fine line details supports a careful finishing process. Once completed, the transparent display stand presents the motorcycle cleanly in a side-on view that suits the cruiser profile and keeps the focus on the engine, wheels and tank graphics.
