1:10 Super Astute (2018), RC assembly kit

Super Astute (2018) brings the look of a classic Tamiya off-road racer back to the bench in a 1:10 RC assembly kit with updated details and a focused 2WD layout. The 2.5 mm FRP chassis plate forms the core of the build, keeping weight low in the frame and giving the buggy a planted stance when the surface turns loose or uneven. The re-issued design stays close to the 1991 original while adding selected updates for current running. An efficient 0.5 module gear is included in the drivetrain, and the battery pack position has been slightly enlarged, although square-shaped battery packs are not compatible with this layout. The front uses rib-spike tires, while the rear runs square spike tires, a combination that separates steering response from rear traction in the way classic racing buggies are set up. A low-profile servo is required for this model. With its rear wing, protective undercowl and vivid racing shell, the buggy cuts a distinctive shape on dirt tracks and compacted gravel. The assembly format suits hobby sessions that continue beyond the build, with tuning potential in the drivetrain and suspension layout for repeated outdoor running. Radio gear, a battery pack, a charger and paints are required separately.
