Tamiya Euro Cup 2024 Recap
From August 1 to 4, the final round of the TAMIYA-CUP Series 2024 took place in Neustadt near Coburg and marked the end of this year's season. Almost 170 starters came to the Upper Franconian district of Coburg to compete for the champions of the individual classes.
The organizing club TGN 1855 had once again prepared the race track, campsite and associated infrastructure perfectly in the run-up to the event. The race track was available to the riders in advance for training purposes and was used extensively.
There were 7 classes: Formula E, M-Chassis, Top Stock, Stock, Euro-TW, Gentleman and Race Truck. In addition, the Fighter Cup was also held in a separate class as part of the final race.
Organized practice runs took place on Thursday and the event was ceremoniously opened on Friday morning by the club's board of directors, organization management and representatives of local politics.
Long-standing Tamiya drivers know that Friday evening is always a time for socializing and bringing the season to a close. Once again this year, the traditional 2.4-hour truck endurance race was held as part of this event. With 18 registered teams, a new record number of participants was set. In the end, the "Reip Racing" team won this fun race with 336 laps ahead of the "Tamiya Netherlands" team with 322 and the "Fying Fischköppe" team with 320 laps.
In perfect weather conditions, the heats were completed on Saturday and Sunday was used entirely for the finals. After exciting battles for the coveted trophies, the following winners were crowned on Sunday:
Stock: Noa Hamaguchi
Top Stock: Alexander Heym
M-Chassis: Stefan Klöpsch
Gentleman: Stefan Klöpsch
Race-Truck: David Reip
Euro-TW: Maarten Wouters
Formula E: Christian Nassler
Fighter Kids: David Reip
Congratulations to all participants!
A top-class final round of the TAMIYA-CUP season 2023/2024 came to a worthy conclusion. Many thanks to all the helpers who made this event possible and a big thank you also to the TAMIYA Euro-Cup advisors who actively support the individual regions throughout the year!
