1/10 RC 1978 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo TT-02

Tamiya presents another racing car - this time the 1978 Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo - combined on the popular TT-02 chassis. The Ford Zakspeed Capri Turbo was developed in 1978 by the Zakspeed racing team for the DRM (German Racing Championship). This car was characterized by an extremely flat, wide body, which was optimized by intensive wind tunnel tests and weighed only 790kg. A 1,427 cc in-line four-cylinder DOHC turbo engine produced 375 hp. The car took its first victory in the 11th round of the DRM at the Nürburgring in October 1978. The following year, it finished second in the first round of the DRM and won the second round.

The 47526 TAMIYA 1:10 scale model is based on the proven TT-02 chassis. The wheelbase, ground clearance, track and gear ratio can be adjusted in many ways and the chassis can be quickly tuned into a racer with the countless optional tuning parts. The 4WD drive with central shaft, double wishbones and suspension struts on all four wheels ensure a true-to-life driving experience and optimum traction. The underside of the chassis has an extra smooth design and the battery compartment accommodates all standard battery types. The wheel drivers, which have attached dummy brake disks, are a visual highlight.
