PS-49 Alu-Effekt Blue, polycarbonate spray paint

PS-49 Alu-Effekt Blue is a spray paint for polycarbonate model parts, supplied in a 100 ml aerosol can for smooth, controlled colour application. The metallic blue tone is suited to clear body shells where the paint is applied from the inside, leaving the outer surface glossy and the moulded shape clearly visible. The formula is specified for polycarbonate rather than general craft use, making it relevant for RC bodywork and other formed hobby shells that need a coating matched to that material. Hood lines, air intakes, wheel arch contours and other recessed or raised details remain visually defined when the colour is laid down in light, even passes. The data also recommends PS-5 black when painting with this colour, a backing coat that can deepen the final appearance and strengthen the visual effect of the metallic finish. In the workshop, the aerosol format keeps application direct and consistent across broad roof sections, curved fenders and narrow front ends without needing a brush setup. It fits repainting a fresh shell, refreshing a used bodyshell or matching separate polycarbonate parts within the same build. This paint is intended for model use, and the can carries hazard pictograms for flammable and health-related warnings, so handling should follow the precautions on the label.
