Paint Retarder Acrylic is a paint additive for model finishing that slows the drying of acrylic paint and gives each coat more time to settle. Whether acrylic paint is applied with an airbrush or a brush, the extended working time supports a smoother surface and helps the paint flow out more evenly across the model. The formula can be used at up to a 1:10 ratio with acrylic paints, which makes it easy to mix a controlled amount into the paint already prepared for a session. A 40 ml bottle provides enough material for repeated use across touch-ups, larger painted sections and gloss-focused work. By delaying the drying phase, the additive helps reduce the chance of a grainy result, especially where an even coat matters for visible exterior parts. On body shells, panels and smaller detail areas, the slower drying action gives wet paint a longer window to level before it sets. That makes it useful for brush painting, airbrushed coats and finishing steps where a cleaner glossy surface is the goal.
