1500 Sanding Sponge Sheet, model finishing abrasive

The 1500 Sanding Sponge Sheet brings fine surface finishing to model work with a flexible abrasive layer bonded to a cushioned backing. That combination helps the sheet sit against curves, edges and narrow parts with steadier contact than a rigid sanding surface, making it useful for refining small components by hand. The 1500 grit is suited to light finishing passes where surface texture needs to be reduced without removing too much material at once. The sponge base can be cut into smaller pieces for targeted work on tubes, rods and other shaped sections, and the sheet format leaves room to prepare custom sizes for different stages of a build. Used dry by hand, it supports controlled smoothing on detail areas, cleanup around joins and preparation before the next finishing step. On the workbench, the sheet fits the kind of close, careful handling used on scale parts, body details and other small sections that need a softer touch. It also works well when a narrow strip or small pad is needed to reach contours that are awkward for a standard flat abrasive sheet.
