Paint Remover 250 ml, model paint stripper

This 250 ml Paint Remover is made for stripping paint from already painted models and preparing parts for a fresh finish. The liquid removes Tamiya acrylic, enamel and lacquer-based paints from polystyrene parts, and it can also be used on plated plastic parts when a build calls for the plated layer to come off before repainting. For local correction, the remover can be applied with a cloth or a cotton swab to lift excess colour from small areas. When a whole section needs to be cleared, painted or coated plastic parts can be placed in the liquid for a short soak. Small parts are treated for about 10 minutes, while the immersion time should not exceed 1 hour. After soaking, loosened paint is washed off with a brush, then the parts are rinsed with water and left to dry completely before the next finishing step. The formula is not suitable for ABS plastics. On the workbench, this makes it easier to correct paint runs, clear older finishes from model parts or remove plating before a new colour scheme. It suits repainting jobs, restoration work on previously finished builds and careful surface preparation before the next coat is applied.
