Fine Engraving Needle 20°, modeling tool

The Fine Engraving Needle 20° is a precision modeling tool for clean, controlled scribing on curved and straight surface details. Its pointed needle tip differs from the hooked profile used on engraving blades, so it can trace arcs, corners and fine panel lines with a lighter, more exact feel on model parts. Crafted from cemented carbide and finished to a precise standard, the needle combines a 25 mm total length with a 2 mm shank for stable mounting in compatible holders. The working method is simple and exact: insert the needle carefully, hold it at the shown angle, then pull it lightly across the surface in repeated passes to score a clearly defined line. This approach helps avoid rough edges that can come from forcing a single deep cut. The needle is recommended for the Engraving Blade Holder 74139 and is also compatible with Fine Pin Vise D 74050 and D-R 74112. On the workbench, it suits tasks such as emphasizing existing panel lines, adding new engraved detail and refining curved shapes on plastic model surfaces. A protective case is included for storage and can hold up to 10 needles as well as separately sold engraving blades, keeping small precision tools together between detailing sessions.
