The fret contains 4 separate template sheets, and each sheet covers the full size range in 0.5 mm increments. One sheet uses right-angle corners, while the other 3 apply R10%, R15% and R20% corner ratios for rounded-square shapes. That ratio system keeps the corner radius tied directly to the side length, so a 10 mm square at R10% produces 1 mm radius corners. The templates are made from 0.1 mm stainless steel, which helps them sit close to the surface while remaining flexible enough to bend over convex parts. The stated minimum target component radius is 30 mm. On aircraft fuselage pieces, vehicle panels or scratch-built surfaces, the thin metal sheets help transfer matching shapes again and again instead of drawing each line freehand.
