1:35 Ger. Panther Ausf.D, plastic model kit

This 1:35 scale plastic model assembly kit recreates the German Panther Ausf.D, the initial production variant of the Panther tank developed during World War II. The newly tooled design captures the vehicle's defining silhouette with sharply angled sloped armor and the long L/70 7.5 cm main gun, giving the finished build a strong, purposeful presence on the workbench or in a display case. Ausf.D-specific equipment is reproduced with close attention to the original vehicle, including the smoke dischargers and the distinct rear panel layout. Tamiya designers studied a real Panther in the Netherlands during development, and the kit uses advanced slide molding to reproduce turret details with crisp surface definition. The full-size Panther combined heavy armor protection with notable mobility, reaching a top speed of 55 km/h, and this model reflects that balance through its low, wide hull form and long-barreled turret layout. Belt type tracks help create a continuous track run, while the included commander torso and full body crew figure add options for a more active presentation. The 3 marking options allow different finishing directions, including a Battle of Kursk unit, making the completed tank suitable for a historically themed display. Assembly time is stated as 600 minutes. Paints and tools are required separately.
