1:35 German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elefant Kit

This 1:35 scale assembly kit recreates the German Heavy Tank Destroyer Elefant with a finished length of 236 mm and the unmistakable silhouette of its box-shaped fighting compartment and long 8.8 cm gun. The model focuses on the later Elefant configuration, including the commander's cupola and machine gun mount, so the build reflects the upgraded vehicle seen after the original Ferdinand conversion. Tamiya developed the model from extensive research, and that shows in the layered exterior treatment. The bolt-on front armor and engine grille break up the large hull surfaces with distinct structural detail, while the gun installation gives the front end its characteristic reach. The track layout uses one-piece straight sections to simplify the long ground-contact runs, and the molded sag helps the suspension area look more natural on the completed display piece. Three torso figures are provided for commander, loader and driver positions, giving open hatches a more active look without needing a full crew set. On the workbench, the 600-minute assembly time supports a slower, detail-led build with room for painting, markings and finishing choices. The 3 included marking options open different display directions, whether the model is placed as a single vehicle on a shelf or worked into a wider WWII diorama with terrain, crew movement and support equipment.
