1:35 Ital. MTk. Carro Armato M13/40, assembly kit

This 1:35 plastic assembly kit recreates the Ital. MTk. Carro Armato M13/40 with its riveted construction, compact 143 mm length and unmistakable WWII silhouette. On a shelf or in a North African diorama, the finished tank brings the look of Italy's main wartime medium tank into sharp miniature form. The model focuses on the features that define the original vehicle. Bogey-style wheels and leaf spring suspension are rendered with a realistic finish, and the easy to connect tracks simplify one of the most visible parts of the build. Metal material for the gun barrel and photo-etched parts for the anti-aircraft gun sight refine small exterior areas where thin edges matter most. Additional onboard details such as tools and the radiator cap help break up the hull surfaces with convincing equipment placement. The subject itself is rooted in a vehicle powered by a 125 hp V8 liquid-cooled diesel engine and armed with a 47 mm main gun on Italy's first hydraulically operated turret, giving the build strong historical character. A standing figure and a sitting tank crewman support display scenes around the open hatch and hull. With 3 marking styles for the North African front and a set of badges of rank, the finished model can be presented in different unit looks drawn from that theatre. Assembly takes about 600 minutes. Cement, paints and tools are required separately.
