1:35 US M113 A.P.C, plastic model kit

This 1:35 US M113 A.P.C plastic model kit captures the compact tracked carrier with the visual character that made the vehicle a widely used troop transport. The finished build combines a low, angular hull, openable-looking access areas and a detailed interior that gives the model presence from more than one viewing angle. Inside the hull, the layout is broken down into the driving compartment, engine compartment and passenger section, with seats, floorboard, meter panel, steering lever, radiator, fuel tank and fire walls all represented as separate parts. The build also includes a commander's cupola with machine gun mount, cargo hatches, a rear ramp and support details that reflect the vehicle's working layout. Running gear is a major part of the project, with 10 road wheel sets, 2 sprocket wheel sets and 2 idler wheel sets assembled alongside the fully detailed plastic tracks. Engine construction goes beyond a simple block, using individual parts for the transmission, carburettor, generator and exhaust sections. On a shelf or as part of a 1:35 military scene, the M113 reads clearly as an armoured personnel carrier thanks to its broad track run, raised hull sides and functional rear access ramp. Assembly time is stated as 600 minutes. Paints are required separately.
