1:35 US MBT M1A1 Abrams, plastic model kit

This 1:35 plastic model kit recreates the US MBT M1A1 Abrams with mine plow equipment as used during the 1991 Persian Gulf War. Separate mine guard and plow blade parts give the front assembly a distinct structure, while the roller detail at the nose is built up with included metal chains and enamel wire for a finer mechanical finish. The build is designed as a static display model and uses multiple detail choices to shape the final look. The hatches can be assembled open or closed, which changes how the turret and upper hull present on the completed tank. A full body commander figure and a loader torso figure are included to populate the vehicle, and extra accessories such as spare wheels and ammo cases add more field detail around the hull. Assembly time is stated as 600 minutes. Cement and paints are required separately. On a workbench, the mix of molded parts, wire and chain gives the build a varied rhythm, from larger hull sections to smaller front-end details. Once completed, the Abrams suits shelf display on its own or as the center of a desert or combat engineer diorama where the mine plow equipment becomes the defining visual feature.
