1:35 WWII US Ford GPA, plastic model kit

This 1:35 plastic model kit recreates the WWII US Ford GPA, the amphibious vehicle often known as the 'seep' for its seagoing jeep layout. The boat-shaped hull, front-engine 4WD configuration and military finish give the completed build a distinctive silhouette that stands apart from standard wheeled transport in a display case or diorama. The Ford GPA shared much of its design with the Ford GPW, including the engine basis, and around 12,800 units were produced by 1943. That historical background gives the model a clear place in wartime vehicle collections while the updated parts bring fresh detail to this release. The open-top structure leaves the cockpit easy to view, so the steering wheel, instrument panel, levers and seating remain visible after assembly. Folded windshield positioning, rear-mounted spare wheel and ribbed body surfaces add further period-specific character. Opening deck hatches expose interior mechanical areas, creating another focal point beyond the outer body lines. The 3 included soldier figures support scene building on a shoreline base, in a convoy setting or in a military display with other 1:35 vehicles and equipment. Assembly time is stated as 600 minutes. Paints, cement and tools are required separately.
