1:48 German Tiger I Late Production Model Kit

This 1:48 German Tiger I Late Production model kit brings the heavy WWII tank into Tamiya's Military Miniature Collection with a compact scale that still leaves room for strong surface detail and a full late production silhouette. Extensive new toolings shape the 88 mm gun, the overhauled turret layout and the distinctive large steel road wheels with built in rubber rings into a static display build with clear historical character. The newly designed chassis gives the lower hull a dedicated structure for the running gear, while weights inside the hull add a more substantial feel once assembly is complete. Link type tracks are paired with one piece straight sections, which helps keep the long upper and lower runs neat along the road wheels. The late production configuration is reflected in details such as the periscope in front of the loader's hatch, 7 individual commander periscopes and ventilators moved to the turret center. One torso figure is included to add crew presence at the hatch. With an assembly time stated at 600 minutes, the kit suits an unhurried bench session built around painting, fitting and detail work. Paints are required separately, and the finished tank lends itself to shelf display, diorama scenes or a line-up with other 1:48 military miniatures.
