The 1:48 US M1A2 Abrams model assembly kit brings the angular form of the modern U.S. main battle tank into a compact scale that still leaves room for crisp armor shaping, turret equipment and the long 120 mm gun. Desert-finish display scenes gain a convincing focal point as the completed tank sits low on its tracks with the commander visible in the open hatch. This Military Miniature Series kit recreates the M1A2 version introduced from 1992, the variant developed to move the Abrams into the digital age. Distinctive features of the real vehicle, including the modified commander's cupola, inform the character of the finished model. The hull weight adds heft to the build, while the non-slip surfaces on the hull and turret give painted weathering and shading more texture to work across. Assembly takes about 600 minutes. Cement and paints are required separately. On the bench, the track layout with single-piece straight sections supports a tidy build around the lower hull and road wheels.
