1:32 US Vought F4U-1A Corsair, aircraft model kit

The 1:32 US Vought F4U-1A Corsair aircraft model kit brings the shape of this naval fighter into a large display scale with variant-specific parts and a finished fuselage length of 318 mm. Newly designed components reproduce the changes that separated the F4U-1A from the earlier F4U-1, giving the build a more exact historical configuration. The airframe can be assembled with folded or extended inverted gull wings, changing the silhouette from compact carrier storage to full-span display at 390 mm. A semi-bubble canopy replaces the earlier framed cockpit style, and the pilot position is raised by 18 cm on the real aircraft version represented here. Further F4U-1A features include a starboard wing spoiler and the option of a longer tail wheel strut, both drawn from operational modifications to improve handling and visibility. The kit also includes 3 marking options, 2 figures, decals and clear engine cowling parts. Tools, glue and paints are required separately. On a shelf or in a display cabinet, the model can be shown as a parked aircraft with landing gear deployed or as an in-flight build. The removable engine cowling opens the radial engine area to view after assembly, while the optional under-fuselage store and fighter-bomber configuration add another authentic wartime presentation route for the finished Corsair.
