1:48 US Vought F4U-1D Corsair, aircraft kit

This 1:48 aircraft kit pairs the US Vought F4U-1D Corsair with a Moto-Tug to recreate a busy carrier-deck towing scene in compact scale. The Corsair model captures the later F4U-1D version, including the clear-vision canopy layout and underwing pylons, while the tug adds the ground-handling context that gives the aircraft a stronger sense of operation than a standalone display. The set reproduces the double-wheel version of the Moto-Tug and includes 2 tow bar types for different attachment points. New parts allow the outer-wing rockets to be fitted, and the aircraft is designed for an eye-catching wing-folded presentation associated with carrier use. Two figures are included: a standing driver for the tug and a pilot posed leaning out of the cockpit as if checking the towing process. The Corsair measures 205 mm in fuselage length with a 236 mm wingspan, giving the finished model a balanced footprint for a naval aviation scene. Assembly is required, with a stated build time of 600 minutes. On a shelf, in a display case or as the centre of a U.S. Navy diorama, the combination of aircraft, tug and crew creates a scene with clear movement and purpose.
