1:72 F-51D Mustang, plastic model kit

This 1:72 plastic model kit recreates the North American F-51D Mustang in Korean War configuration, pairing compact size with the crisp lines that made the late Mustang such a distinctive fighter. With a 157 mm wingspan and a 136 mm fuselage, the finished aircraft brings historic presence to a shelf, desk or display cabinet while still leaving room for careful painting, marking work and small assembly detail. The build covers more than the outer shape alone. The cockpit is assembled as its own interior section before it is enclosed in the fuselage, and the landing gear, canopy and propeller are fitted in later stages for a clear, structured workflow. The kit also offers a choice of canopy styles, plus underwing stores that can be built as 6 HVAR rockets, 2 500 lb bombs or 2 75 gallon drop tanks. Marking options based on Korean War aircraft add another layer of finish work, with decals used to define squadron codes, insignia and nose art. On the bench, the model supports a focused build that moves between trimming parts, test fitting, painting and decal placement. Once complete, the included stand opens a second presentation option beside the landing gear setup, so the Mustang can be shown climbing in flight or resting on its wheels as a finished scale aircraft.
