The 1:32 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVIe model kit brings one of the best-known late-war fighter variants into a large display scale, with a 302 mm fuselage length and 311 mm wingspan that give the finished aircraft strong shelf presence. The plastic assembly kit reproduces hallmark Mk.XVIe features such as the Packard Merlin 266 engine installation, the E Type wing and the teardrop canopy, creating a build centered on recognizable airframe changes from this version. Control surfaces add more than a fixed outline. Movable ailerons, rudder and elevators allow subtle adjustment once the aircraft is complete, and the flaps can be depicted in either the up or down position to match different ground or maintenance scenes. The canopy may be opened even after assembly, which keeps the cockpit visible during display. The set also contains a 30 gallon drop tank, 2 250 lb bombs, 3 marking options for Royal Air Force subjects and the Pilots Refresher Flying Unit, plus 2 pilot figures in seated and standing poses. This kit suits a workbench session focused on painting, marking placement and final pose selection rather than a quick snap-together build. Tools, glue and paints are required separately.
