The 1:48 P-47D Thunderbolt Razorback captures the broad-shouldered look of the high-altitude escort fighter that entered combat over Europe in 1943. With a finished fuselage length of 230 mm and a wingspan of 260 mm, the model gives the aircraft's heavy single-seat profile, large radial nose and compact canopy a clear presence on the shelf. The build centers on a historically grounded World War II subject that escorted B-17 and B-24 bombers during raids from England toward Germany. The original aircraft used a supercharger for high-altitude flight and carried eight 12.7 mm machine guns, details that define the type's role and shape the model's character. Separate configuration parts allow different underwing setups, while the included pilot figure adds cockpit life once the canopy is in place. A movable flap section and 2 tail wheel options bring extra variation to the finished aircraft without turning the kit into a parts list. On the workbench, the 600-minute assembly time supports a slower, deliberate build with room for trimming, painting and decal placement.
