1:48 F-35A Lightning II, plastic model assembly kit

This 1:48 scale plastic model assembly kit recreates the F-35A Lightning II with the angular lines and low-observable shaping that define the aircraft. At 326 mm in fuselage length with a 222 mm wingspan, the finished model has the size to show off the jet's planform, panel treatment and RAM surface sections across the airframe. The build goes beyond the outer silhouette with interior and structural detail in key areas. The weapons bay is rendered with inside wiring detail, while the cockpit, landing gear bays, nose undersurface sections and Y-shaped air intakes add more to study during assembly and display. A 5-piece engine nozzle and a multiple-piece Martin-Baker US16E ejection seat bring extra definition to the rear fuselage and cockpit area. RCS enhancers for training configuration are also included, with 4 parts affixed to the upper and lower sections. A seated pilot figure with Helmet-Mounted Display is provided, along with AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles, AIM-120C AMRAAM missiles, GBU-12 Paveway II bombs and GBU-31 JDAM ordnance. Display options support different moments on the ground line or in mission-ready presentation. The canopy can be shown open or closed, the flaps can be set up or down, and the boarding ladder can be extended from the left side of the nose or retracted. Nine marking options cover aircraft from the U.S. Air Force, Japan Air Self-Defense Force, Royal Norwegian Air Force, Royal Danish Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force, Israeli Air Force, Italian Air Force, Republic of Korea Air Force and Royal Netherlands Air Force. Cement, paints and tools are required separately.
