1:12 HONDA RA273, plastic model kit, PE parts

The 1:12 HONDA RA273 plastic model kit captures Honda's 1966 Formula 1 machine in a large-format build with PE parts and finely reproduced race-car engineering. At 333 mm long, 143 mm wide and 70 mm high, the assembled car gives the monocoque proportions, exposed mechanical sections and low body shape enough space to read clearly on the bench and in a display setting. The build centers on the historic 3-liter V12, with fuel pipes, ignition cables and 12 aluminum air funnels forming a dense engine bay that rewards close work. A removable nose cowling opens the front section for a view of inner mechanics such as the radiator, adding another layer of structural detail beyond the outer bodywork. Hollow rubber tires carry accurate tread patterns, and the kit also includes a driver figure plus markings for No.18 Richie Ginther and No.11 John Surtees. Paints and glue are required separately. The moving steering linkage and sprung suspension give the finished model extra realism while handling and positioning. During assembly, the mix of molded parts, photo-etched components and metal transfers creates a build that shifts between body shape, cockpit detail and race hardware, echoing the technical character of a mid-1960s Formula 1 car.
