1:24 Honda S600 Cabrio/Hardtop, plastic model kit

This 1:24 plastic model kit captures the Honda S600 in the compact proportions that made the original 1964 sports car stand out on road and track. The low body, short overhangs and open-top silhouette give the finished car a crisp period look, whether placed in a display case or set among other classic Japanese vehicles. The subject itself carries unusual engineering detail. Honda fitted the real S600 with a 606 cc 4-cylinder DOHC engine and a motorcycle-style chain-driven rear wheel drive, and that distinctive layout is reflected in the model's suspension treatment. The kit builds on the accurate S800 tooling and adds newly designed parts to depict S600-specific exterior features. Decals and metal transfers have also been newly designed for this release, helping the trim, markings and small brightwork read cleanly at 1:24 scale. Assembly is required, with an indicated build time of 600 minutes. During the build, the alternate body configuration gives a clear choice between open-top character and the closed hardtop profile. That makes the finished car fit equally well into a 1960s road car collection, a motorsport-themed shelf or a focused Honda lineup. Paints, cement and tools are required separately.
