1:24 Calsonic Skyline GT-R, static display model

The 1:24 Calsonic Skyline GT-R brings a well-known JGTC machine to the workbench as a static display model, combining the low, aggressive shape of the R33 race car with the visual impact of its full blue Calsonic livery. Large aero surfaces, competition proportions and the number 1 race markings give the finished build a strong motorsport presence on a shelf or in a display case. This assembly kit draws on the 1996 racing version of the Skyline GT-R, a car developed for the Japanese GT Car Championships with extensive aerodynamic revisions. The bodywork features additional air intakes and outlets, widened fenders and a prominent rear wing that distinguish it from the road-going base car. Decals recreate period sponsor graphics including CALSONIC, NISSAN, IMPUL and Bridgestone, while GOODYEAR markings appear on the tires in the reference artwork. The subject itself reflects a rear-wheel-drive competition car powered in period by a 2,568 cc inline 6 twin-turbo engine and a sequential 6-speed gearbox, details that add context to the model's racing form. Over an assembly time of 600 minutes, the build centers on shaping, finishing and detailing a recognizable touring car silhouette rather than motorized running functions.
