1:24 Lotus Europa Special, plastic model kit

The 1:24 Lotus Europa Special plastic model kit recreates one of the most distinctive sports cars of its era with a length of 168 mm and a width of 73 mm. Its low body, compact proportions and midship layout give the finished car the sharp, planted look that made the Europa stand apart on the road and in period motorsport circles. This re-issue brings updated detail to the build with new parts for a rear wing, RS Watanabe option wheels and air funnels, plus a photo-etched front grille for finer front-end definition. Inside the cockpit, the sports instrument panel, high-backed seats, 3-spoke steering wheel and short gear shift recreate the focused cabin layout of the full-size car. Lotus logos, emblems and mirror surfaces are applied with metal transfers, while seatbelt stickers and redesigned decals add further finishing detail. Assembly is required, with an indicated build time of 600 minutes. The structure of the model follows the car's engineering closely: the Y-shaped backbone frame carries the suspension and engine components, the floor attaches directly to the built-up frame, and the body mounts over the top. With the hood removed, the engine bay remains on view, making the completed model well suited to shelf display, close inspection and careful finishing work. Cement and paints are required separately.
