1:24 Nissan R390 GT1, plastic model kit

The 1:24 Nissan R390 GT1 plastic model kit brings one of Nissan's best-known endurance racers into a detailed static display format. Its low body, enclosed cockpit, front vents and tall rear wing give the finished car the unmistakable shape of a 1997 Le Mans GT1 machine, with the No. 23 Calsonic Xanavi race livery adding the visual character seen on the track. This assembly kit is based on the Nissan R390 GT1 developed by Nissan and TWR for the Le Mans 24 Hour Endurance Race. The original car used a 3.5 liter V8 with 600 horsepower, a transversely mounted 6 speed transmission and rear-wheel drive, all built around a carbon composite monocoque. Its 4 wheel double wishbone suspension linked to horizontally mounted shock absorbers through pushrods and bell cranks, details that help explain the compact, purposeful proportions recreated in the model. The kit is presented as a highly detailed static display model with realistically reproduced interior sections, clear parts and race markings that build up the car's distinctive competition finish. On a shelf, desk or in a motorsport collection, the completed R390 GT1 stands out through its long tail, wide stance and endurance-racing graphics.
