1:12 Honda VFR 750R 1987, plastic model kit

This 1:12 plastic model kit recreates the Honda VFR 750R from 1987, a road-legal machine developed from the RVF750 endurance racer and known for its tightly packaged, competition-focused design. The finished motorcycle brings that character into scale with a full fairing, clear windscreen, twin round front headlights, mirrors, white wheels and a large exhaust that define the bike's unmistakable silhouette. The original 748cc liquid-cooled V4 with 16 valves was engineered to stay compact, and that compact layout shapes the model's proportions as well. Structural features from the real machine are part of the subject itself, including the twin-spar aluminum box frame, the single-sided Pro-Arm rear swing arm and the center-lock rear wheel hub. Honda's 1987 machine stood out for its use of advanced materials such as titanium, carbon-fiber, kevlar and magnesium, and the model reflects that high-spec concept through its sharply defined race-bred bodywork and mechanical layout. Assembly is required, and the stated assembly time is 600 minutes. On the bench, the build suits careful trimming, painting and decal work; once completed, the bike sits naturally as a display piece in a motorcycle collection. Radio gear is not part of this kit, and the included contents are the assembly kit itself.
