1:6 Suzuki GSX1100S Katana 1980, motorcycle model kit

This 1:6 scale Suzuki GSX1100S Katana 1980 model kit captures one of the defining motorcycle designs of the early 1980s in a format that gives the bodywork and mechanical layout real presence on the bench and on display. The sharply cut fairing, integrated windscreen, long fuel tank and stepped seat recreate the Katana shape that stood apart from traditional motorcycle styling when it first appeared. The assembly kit centers on a highly detailed 1100cc DOHC engine replica, supported by many metal parts, semi-pneumatic rubber tires and functional features that keep the finished motorcycle visually active. The suspension system works after assembly, and both the main stand and side stand are movable, allowing different parked poses. The original machine's engineering story adds depth to the build as well: an air-cooled 4-cylinder engine with 1074 cc, 16 valves and Suzuki TSCC design, plus a full-size wheelbase of 1,520 mm and fuel tank capacity of 22 L, shaped the character reproduced here in scale form.
