1:350 Musashi 2013, battleship model kit

The 1:350 Musashi 2013 battleship model kit brings one of the largest battleships ever built into a substantial display scale, with a finished length of 751.5 mm and a beam of 110 mm. The long hull, layered superstructure and broad deck arrangement give the build a strong naval presence, whether viewed bow-on, broadside or from above on the included stand. Musashi was the second ship of the Yamato class, completed in 1942 and later lost in the Battle of Leyte Gulf after attacks by U.S. Navy aircraft. This kit focuses on the ship's 2013 release form and highlights a different anti-aircraft fit from Yamato, with numerous single 25 mm cannons arranged across the main deck. That armament changes the look of the deck plan and gives the finished model its own identity within the class. The rerelease also adds newly designed mast parts, bringing extra definition to the upper structure. Assembly is required, with a stated build time of 600 minutes. On a workbench, the long hull and dense deck layout create a build that moves between large structural sections and fine naval details. Once completed, the model suits a display setting where the superstructure, main turrets and anti-aircraft positions can be read from multiple angles.
