1:700 US Missouri Battleship, waterline model kit

This 1:700 waterline model kit recreates USS Missouri, the best-known Iowa-class battleship, in a format that emphasizes the ship's long, narrow hull and dense deck arrangement. With a finished length of 386.5 mm, the model gives the famous BB-63 a strong presence in a cabinet or alongside other naval subjects, where the stepped superstructure, turret layout and stern deck details read clearly from bow to aft. The original battleship entered service in 1944, and that historical identity shapes the appeal of the build as much as the finished silhouette. Iowa-class ships combined heavy armament with high speed, and Missouri became the setting for the signing of the Japanese surrender on 2 September 1945. The real ship measured 270.4 m in length and 33 m across the beam, proportions reflected here in the sleek waterline form. The class carried 9 main 16 inch guns in 3 triple turrets, with 2 forward and 1 aft, and the full-size vessel reached 33 knots from 212,000 horsepower. The assembly kit includes decals and calls for a measured, hands-on build of about 600 minutes. Paints are required separately.
