The HMS Rodney entered service in 1927. During World War II, the British Nelson-class battleship was involved in the hunt for the Bismarck (1941), the invasion of North Africa (1942) and the invasion of Normandy (1944). The revolutionary design of the Rodney with three triple 16-inch gun turrets, all of which are mounted in front of the bridge, is faithfully reproduced in the model. The bridge, the chimney and the mast near the stern can also be reproduced true to the original. After the Second World War, the HMS Rodney was scrapped in 1948.
