The Grasshopper i 2005 brings classic 1:10 RC buggy style into a build centered on rear-wheel-drive action, a lightweight 830 g layout and the unmistakable stance of an 80s-inspired off-road racer. Its polycarbonate body, detailed illustrated assembly instructions, electronic speed controller and 380 electric motor come in the kit, creating a clear starting point for hands-on assembly and outdoor running. The chassis measures 389 mm long, 223 mm wide and 135 mm high, giving the buggy a low, planted profile with enough width for stable tracking on loose ground. At the front, independent swing axle suspension handles steering inputs with visible mechanical movement, while the rolling rigid rear axle preserves the original Grasshopper character. A sealed rear gearbox helps protect the differential gear when the buggy is driven on dirt and other rough surfaces. The chassis is also compatible with a 540 type motor sold separately, which opens the door to a later power change without changing the model identity. On compact off-road courses, packed gravel or smooth tarmac, the 2WD layout creates a direct connection between throttle input and rear traction. The illustrated build process suits hobby sessions at the workbench, and the finished buggy carries that same mechanical clarity into running sessions where suspension travel, tyre stance and classic racing lines stay fully visible. Radio gear, a battery pack and a charger are required separately.
