The Tamiya 300058759 is a reissue of the Ford F-150 Ranger XLT, which was originally released in 1981 as a 1:10 RC model kit.
The 1980 Ford F-150 Ranger was the first model of the seventh generation of the F-series.
It was characterised by its angular design and robust ladder frame. The
car emphasised a lightweight yet durable design and embodied the powerful image typical of American pickups.
The Ranger trim level was considered the most upmarket. It featured
extensive exterior features such as two-tone paint and chrome trim. The
‘Free Wheelin' Package’ was available as an option, offering unique features such as stripes and special colouring.
The kit uses the existing body and includes newly moulded side mirrors,
windscreen wipers, headlights (LED headlights can be installed separately), a front section including radiator grille and bumper
protection, and a ‘stealth’ body mount (without mounting holes) for a more realistic look.
Required accessories: remote control with receiver, steering servo, 7.2V NiMH battery pack, paint, charger.

About the chassis
The chassis consists of a 2mm thick GRP plate with an aluminium
reinforcement plate for strength and flexibility to ensure stability.
The independent suspension on all four wheels features a double wishbone
axle at the front and a swing axle at the rear, die-cast wishbones and
oil dampers. The electronics and battery are protected by a robust, transparent plastic housing.
