1:10 Citroen DS, RC assembly kit, MB-01 chassis

This 1:10 RC assembly kit recreates the Citroen DS with the long, flowing lines that made the original 1955 car instantly recognizable. The lightweight polycarbonate body captures the early-period version with 2 rounded headlights, while the long-wheelbase MB-01 L layout gives the model a 239 mm wheelbase within overall dimensions of 419 x 198 x 137 mm for a planted on-road stance. The compact MB-01 chassis is built as a 2WD platform and uses a center frame that keeps the battery pack, motor and R/C equipment in place while drivetrain configuration changes are made. By changing the attachment directions of the final gears and steering linkage, the chassis can be set up for front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. For rear-wheel drive cars, a low or high motor position can be selected. The chassis also uses 4-wheel double wishbone suspension with friction dampers, and the motor mount, final gears and suspension are arranged in unitized sections for straightforward maintenance work. A 540 motor and electronic speed controller are included. On smooth on-road surfaces, the 60 mm front and rear tires suit the DS body shape and wheelbase with a composed, scale look. Radio gear, a battery pack and a charger are required separately, and the export body is supplied clear rather than pre-painted, leaving the finish open to a custom build.
