1:10 Peugeot 306 Maxi, RC assembly kit, BT-01

The 1:10 Peugeot 306 Maxi RC assembly kit combines rally hatchback character with the adaptable BT-01 chassis, creating a model that looks purposeful on the bench and composed on on-road circuits. Its 404 mm length, 187 mm width and 155 mm height give the compact body a full, planted presence, while the standard 257 mm wheelbase matches the recommended FF layout used for this version. The bodyshell recreates the Peugeot 306 Maxi in lightweight polycarbonate, and separate molded parts add the side mirrors and rear wing as distinct exterior details. New markings are supplied for this release, while the livery graphics are Tamiya originals. Under the shell, the 2WD BT-01 platform is built around unitized sections for the motor mount, final gears and suspension, which helps keep the structure organized during assembly and maintenance. The center frame allows drivetrain changes by switching the attachment directions of the final gears and steering linkage, and rear-wheel-drive setups can use either a front motor or midship rear motor position. Radio gear, a battery pack and a charger are required separately. On the road, the combination of racing radial tires, double wishbone suspension and friction dampers suits smooth tarmac driving and repeated practice sessions. The detailed rally shape, separate aero parts and original markings also give the finished car a strong shelf presence between runs.
