1:10 VW Golf II GTI 16V, RC assembly kit, MB-01

This 1:10 R/C assembly kit captures the Volkswagen Golf II GTI 16V in rally form on the MB-01 chassis, pairing a compact hatchback shape with a front motor, front-wheel drive layout. The lightweight polycarbonate bodyshell arrives pre-painted in PS-34 Red with PS-31 Smoke, so the body lines, window tint effect and overall stance come together quickly once mounted on the chassis. The model measures 383 mm in length, 170 mm in width and 138 mm in height, with a long 239 mm wheelbase that suits the MB-01 configuration used here. Separate black molded parts recreate the side mirrors and bumpers, while transparent components depict the headlights and taillights with added depth. A 540 torque-tuned electric motor and an electronic speed controller are included. The MB-01 platform also uses unitized sections for the motor mount, final gears and suspension, a layout that keeps the structure organized during assembly and later maintenance. On the bench, the combination of 4-wheel double wishbone suspension, friction dampers, porous dish wheels and radial tires gives the chassis a clear mechanical character. Once built, the compact proportions and FF drivetrain make it well suited to tight driving lines and flowing runs on smooth ground. Radio gear, a battery pack and a charger are required separately.
