1:16 Leopard 2 A7V, RC assembly kit, DMD T-12

This 1:16 R/C assembly kit recreates the Leopard 2 A7V with a commanding 701 mm length, 241 mm width and 190 mm height, giving the model the long, low stance of the full-size tank. The L/55 120 mm gun and the sharply defined turret and hull surfaces are shaped from extensive research of the actual vehicle, so the finished build carries the same purposeful proportions seen on the real machine. The chassis uses ABS, while the gun barrel is aluminum for a crisp, straight profile across the full length of the turret. All-wheel independent suspension with torsion bars mirrors the layout of the original tank, and the suspension arms are die-cast. Pre-assembled tracks feature inserted rubber pads, adding a more planted feel as the model moves across hard surfaces. The DMD T-12 control unit expands operation with transmitter-based volume adjustment and a gun barrel control system that coordinates gun elevation and turret direction to keep the barrel trained in a single direction. Running functions come from 2 Type 540 motors, while turret rotation uses 1 Type 130 motor, gun elevation uses 1 TSU-03 servo, and recoil uses 1 Type 130 motor. Engine sounds are synchronized with model speed, and main gun or machine gun firing is accompanied by lights and sound through the DMD Multi Function Unit. The DMD control unit and battery pack are installed inside the turret, with a pin-attached upper turret for battery changes and a magnet-attached rear hatch for access to power and setup switches. Radio gear, a battery pack and a charger are required separately. Compatibility with the Battle System for 1/16 scale tanks also allows battle mode operation.
