This 1:14 R/C Tow Truck Actuator Set adds powered lifting control to the Volvo Globetrotter 750 8x4 Tow Truck model. Once fitted, the ACU-01 Actuator Control Unit works with a 7.2V geared motor to move the spindle shaft and link system, creating smooth boom movement with a measured, steady action that suits scale recovery work. The geared motor uses a 64:1 ratio, a setup chosen for controlled actuator travel rather than abrupt motion. As the spindle turns, the linked mechanism raises and lowers the boom while the underlift follows in conjunction, giving the truck a more complete towing function. A clutch system is installed to mitigate potential damage from overloads, and the set also provides a toggle switch for manual operation. The box contains 1 ACU-01 Actuator Control Unit and 1 geared motor, along with the parts needed for installation on the matching tow truck model. When installed on the compatible chassis, the system allows the truck to tow loads such as other tractor truck heads without trailer.
