New
TAMIYA presents the Volvo FH16, the first truck with 4 axles and
steerable double front axle. The chassis has been converted to 8x4 and
is the perfect basis for a tow truck. The crane superstructure is
extremely robust and consists of many metal parts. The crane is powered
by an optionally available ACU unit (order number 300056553). This unit allows the crane to be moved up and down.
The tow truck now allows model building enthusiasts to create a whole
new world of play. It can pick up and tow 1/14 scale model trucks.
The model is delivered as a kit and already includes numerous
accessories, such as photo-etched parts for the radiator grille, turnbuckles with chains for securing the load, and much more.
The TAMIYA MFC-03 multifunction unit (300056523) is recommended for the
drive, lighting and sound. Due to the enormous length of the model, only
the standard MFC LEDs need to be replaced with the special ones with longer cables (300056549 to 300056551).
The FH16 is the first TAMIYA truck model with a permanently bolted
driver's cab. This allows the MFC to be installed behind the seats, leaving the interior fully visible.
The
body parts driver's cab, H, M, DD, HH, LL, MM and NN are already pre-painted with Tamiya TS-17 silver in this kit version.
