TextureClaySoil Brown, diorama clay, 150g

TextureClaySoil Brown brings shaped ground relief to diorama bases with a pre-colored brown clay that is made for soil effects rather than a flat painted surface. The 150 g pack suits scenes across a wide 1/6 to 1/48 scale range, where uneven earth, ruts and worked terrain help a vehicle or figure sit more naturally in the setting. The water-based formula limits odor and helps limit dirt on hands during longer shaping sessions. Numerous colored particles in the clay support a more natural soil look, and the surface can be worked directly after kneading the bag contents. A thin layer of bond is applied to a rigid display base first, then the clay is spread over it and textured with stiff brushes to form irregular ground. Tracks and tires can be pressed into the surface to depict traces, and Brown can be mixed with Dark Earth to shift the tone across the base. The clay is not adhesive like putty, so cement or wood glue is required separately. Solvent cement and instant cement are not suitable. Drying takes about 2 to 7 days. On military scenes, vehicle displays or figure settings, the clay helps turn a plain base into terrain with visible depth and contact marks. It also suits compact groundwork studies where brush texture, wheel impressions and mixed earth tones define the final scene.
