Gear Differential Putty is a tuning accessory for transmission differentials in model vehicles, supplied as 25 g in a plastic case. By controlling the differential action, it creates an effect close to direct coupling, changing how the drivetrain responds when load builds through the driven wheels. The putty is applied as a physical insert rather than a mechanical replacement part. The rolled material is cut with scissors, formed to about 3 mm in diameter, and then packed into the transmission differential. This gives a clear, hands-on way to adjust internal resistance with small portions instead of replacing the whole differential assembly. The method suits fine setup changes, because the amount and shape of the putty can be prepared before installation. The supplied case keeps the material contained between workshop sessions.
