F104 Alu. Diff Housing Set, RC chassis upgrade

The F104 Alu. Diff Housing Set brings blue anodized aluminum construction to the differential area of compatible Tamiya chassis, combining a cleaner mechanical feel with easier workshop handling. Once installed on an F104-series machine, the housing stays together when the wheels come off, so routine checks and maintenance take less disassembly around the rear drivetrain. The set is supplied as a 13-piece differential parts set and covers the core hardware needed for this upgrade section. Visible components include diff housings, a 2 x 14 mm shaft, an 1150 ball bearing, a differential spacer, a 4 mm lock nut, 3 x 3 mm grub screws, disk springs, washers and a 1.5 mm hex wrench. The assembly sequence uses the grub screw to align with the shaft recess, while the lock nut is adjusted to set the differential position. Manual notes also show grease application and a quarter-turn backing-off point after fully tightening the lock nut as the standard adjustment position. Compatibility is stated for F104PRO II chassis, F104W chassis and F104 chassis. The set can also be used on the F103 chassis when item 54162 is added, because a shorter axle is required there. This makes the set a focused upgrade for racers who tune drivetrain response, service the rear axle regularly, or want a more refined differential housing than the standard setup.
