The M-05 Alu Racing Steering Post is a steering upgrade part for selected Tamiya M-chassis platforms, replacing the standard B3 parts with machined aluminum components. The rigid construction focuses on the steering column area, where cleaner support can help the mechanism react with a more direct feel during corner entry and direction changes.
Compatibility is stated for the M-06 PRO chassis, M-05 ver.II PRO chassis, M-05 chassis and M-05 PRO chassis. The set is not included in the M-05 PRO as a standard part, making it a relevant hop-up for builds based on the regular chassis specification. The instruction sheet also specifies replacing the steering arm's /850 plastic bearings with ball bearings when fitting this part. Shaded components shown in the diagram are not included in the set, so the upgrade stays focused on the steering post area rather than a full steering assembly.
In workshop use, this kind of aluminum steering hardware suits drivers refining response on compact front-wheel-drive RC chassis and builders maintaining an existing M-series setup. The 10-piece steering arm post pack also supports spare-part planning when servicing steering components between running sessions or during a fresh chassis rebuild.
