The XV-02/TT02 Axle & Ring set updates the wheel end of a universal shaft assembly with 2 wheel axles and 2 axle rings. This layout is designed to deliver smoother rotation with less power loss, helping the drivetrain run with a cleaner, more direct feel when the car is in motion. Instead of the earlier axle shaft style that used a set screw to hold the pin in place, this version uses an axle ring arrangement that addresses potential looseness in that area. The parts fit to the swing shaft in an existing universal shaft set, so the upgrade targets the working section of the drivetrain rather than replacing the full assembly. The instruction data also notes that axle ring orientation differs between left and right, making correct installation direction part of the setup. The set can be used in place of the wheel axle in Items 53597, 53791 and 53792, and it also serves as a direct replacement for Item 53497 or 53681. On compatible M-Chassis, TT-02, DT-03 and DF-03 cars fitted with universal shafts, this set suits routine maintenance, worn-part replacement or a focused drivetrain refresh.
